Ta lekcja o celebrowaniu nadejścia Nowego Roku ma za zadanie przybliżyć dzieciom całe zdania w czasie Teraźniejszym Prostym.

Nie ma nic łatwiejszego niż proste zdanie które się składa z OSOBY i CZYNNOŚCI:

  1. We celebrate
  2. We sing
  3. We dance

Te zdania mają typową konstrukcję i cały język angielski opiera się na takich strukturach. Bez względu na to co chcemy powiedzeć po angielsku, zawsze powinniśmy zacząć od OSOBY  a następnie użyć czasownika.

Jak obchodzisz Nowy Rok?

Sylwester przypada 31 grudnia. Mamy wielką imprezę. Śpiewamy, tańczymy i dobrze się bawimy.

Oglądamy zegar odliczający czas w telewizji. Kiedy jest północ – to Nowy Rok!

Mówimy „Szczęśliwego Nowego Roku do wszystkich” i całujemy się i przytulamy.

O północy oglądamy pokaz sztucznych ogni. Bardzo późno idziemy do łóżka.

Moje uwagi językowe

Moje uwagi językowe

  • Na początku mamy bardzo typowe pytanie: „How do you celebrate the New Year?” To pytanie w czasie Present Simple będzie bardzo przydatne w wielu innych sytuacjach, więc warto je zapamiętać a potem tylko wymienić końcówkę: „celebrate the New Year” na inne, np „How do you go to the beach?”
  • Zauważ też że przetłumaczyłam: „We watch a countdown clock on TV.” jako: „Oglądamy zegar odliczający” – zwróć proszę uwagę na fakt, że w angielskim zdaniu musi być na początku osoba przed czasownikiem ZAWSZE.
  • W kolejnym zdaniu mamy równiez czas Present Simple: „We say „Happy New Year to Everybody” and we kiss and hug„. Zwróć uwagę proszę na czasowniki: say, kiss, hug – są one w najprostszej formie podstawowej. Nie dodajemy do nich żadnej końcówki, a zwłaszcza końcówki „-ing” co jest bardzo częstym błędem.

I w ostatnim punkcie chciałam omówić przyimki ON i AT (:-D – wiem to straszne słowo i one w sumie też są trochę straszne bo jest ich mnóstwo, i nie ma zbyt wiele reguł co do ich stosowania!) Ale tu jest ich niedużo:

  • ON „on the 31st of December” – ON używamy ZAWSZE kiedy mówimy o JEDNYM dniu, czy to jest data, czy też jego nazwa, np.: on Mother’s Day, on Monday, on Christmas Day, itp.
  • AT „at midnight” – AT używamy ZAWSZE z GODZINAMI i PORAMI DNIA takimi jak: midday/noon (12.00 w południe) i midnight (12.00 w nocy).
