„Moje dziecko nie chce mówić po angielsku za granicą a przecież uczy się i wiem, że potrafiłoby.” To bardzo częsta skarga mam z którymi rozmawiam.

Czy i Twoja pociecha staje się „nieśmiała” kiedy trzeba zamówić soczek w hotelowym barze?

Z czego wynika taka nieśmiałość? Czy jest naturalną cechą dziecka? Czy w innych nieznanych sytuacjach ale w swoim kraju dziecko reaguje inaczej?

Moim zdaniem, częściowo jest to kwestia nowości raczej niż braku umiejętności, bo gdyby dziecko bywało w danym kraju lub w ogóle za granicą częściej, np. kilka razy w roku, i zamawiałoby ów soczek w owym barze codziennie, sytuacja wyglądałaby inaczej. Nowa sytuacja powoduje niechęć do przejmowania inicjatywy także u dorosłych: a Ty co robisz w nowym otoczeniu, np. na przyjęciu, gdzie nie znasz zbyt wielu osób? Chyba tak od razu nie zostajesz duszą towarzystwa?

Też jest jeszcze inna ewentualność: język angielski używany jest zbyt rzadko by nagle w głowie u dziecka czy też u dorosłego dostępne były pożądane słowa czy też zwroty. To tak działa niestety. Nasz mózg nie ma miejsca na wszystkie informacje i te rzeczy, które są rzadko lub nieintensywnie używane czy też przyswajane, lub te które nie budzą pozytywnych emocji trafiają gdzieś na dno (przynajmniej ja lubię taki skrót myślowy) czyli do pamięci długotrwałej. Skąd już nie jest tak łatwo je wydobyć.

Jak więc sprawić by dziecko zamówiło swój soczek samo? Skorzystajcie z rozmówek. Kup w księgarni lub pobierz moje i w drodze na wakacje razem czytajcie i śmiejcie się, bo wymowa w rozmówka zawsze jest śmiesznie napisana po polsku 😀

Cały ten ubaw i śmiech sprawi że i Ty i dziecko zapamiętacie bardzo dużo i po wsze czasy…
